My Skincare Collection

As most of my friends and family know - I'm a bit of a skincare addict. So, I thought it might be interesting to show you my entire skincare collection. This is after a recent clear out so I can honestly say that I use all of these products interchangeably.

I keep my products in this rotating plastic organiser that my boyfriend bought me for my birthday. Anyone who's into skincare or makeup NEEDS one of these organisers. It is the best thing ever, I love spinning it round each morning as I decide which cleanser to use😂

Click here for a link to one on amazon.

Keep reading if you want to see what products I keep in my stash. I have broken them down into categories and listed my favourite 3 products from each category.

Cleansers

1- The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter - I haven't found anything that's able to remove my makeup as well as this, plus it lasts for months, you can't go wrong. You simply rub it into your dry skin and watch it melt away all your makeup, then remove with a damp face cloth.

2 & 3 -My joint second favourite cleansers would be Glossier milky jelly cleanser and The Body Shop Lemon Face Wash. These are best used in the morning and in the evening after you've removed your makeup. The Glossier one is great for if I'm having a dryer skin day and the Lemon is great for perking my skin up when it's looking a little dull.

Exfoliators, Toners and Essences

1- Ren Ready Steady Glow Daily AHA Tonic This is a gentle chemical exfoliant that I like to use 2-3 times a week to lift any layers of dead skin from the surface. I've used some in the past that were way too harsh for me but I'm really enjoying this one - which is a good job considering the size of the bottle I bought!

2- The Body Shop Drops of Light Pure Translucency Essence Lotion  I use this after cleansing and before any serums or moisturisers, it dampens the skin and preps it for the next step. Our skin absorbs products much deeper when it's damp so an essence lotion helps you get the most out of all your other products and also hydrates the skin as well. Alternatively, a face mist can do the same thing!

3- The Body Shop Vitamin C Liquid Peel  These products are genius! They're great because you get to visually see the dead skin coming away. I use this once a week on my face and also on my neck and chest area where I get stubborn fake tan that clings to dry patches.

Eye creams

1- The Body Shop Drops of Youth Bouncy Eye Mask  This is my favourite because of its versatility. It's a gel consistency that you can use lightly in the morning but at nighttime it layers up to become a mask. I love to build it up overnight and wake up with plump, refreshed looking under eyes in the morning.

2- Sunday Riley Autocorrect  I love to use this cream in the morning because it gives an instant brightening, de-puffing affect. It's very pricey though as are most of the Sunday Riley products are, so I only ever have this at Christmas or Birthdays haha!

3- The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream At the opposite end of the budget this is a great eye cream for beginners, it won't break the bank and it would suit all skin types. It's very light weight so I prefer to use it in the summer as I personally need a thicker cream in the winter.

Serums and Oils

1- First place has got to be The Body Shop CBD Facial Oil - I have used this stuff everyday since I bought my first bottle in September. It's a lightweight formula that doesn't make you feel greasy and slippery and it also contains cannabidiol which is a ✨magical✨ingredient known for its soothing and hydrating properties. This just makes my skin feel so juicy and plump as well as reducing redness and breakouts.

2- Sunday Riley Luna Sleeping Night Oil - This is a mild retinol that I use only once a week, maybe twice if my skin needs it. Retinol is a very powerful anti-aging ingredient that can also help clear acne prone skin. It's important to start slowly and build up your skin's tolerance with retinol as it can cause irritation at high strengths. I haven't had any issues so far and I'm really enjoying using it, it's bright blue and very different to any of my other products.

3- NIOD Multi Molecular Hyaluronic Complex This is an extremely lightweight hyaluronic acid serum that sinks into the skin instantly. I love this serum as a lot of hyaluronic acid serums that I've used in the past tend to be quite sticky and unpleasant. NIOD are a sister company to The Ordinary so they are a very science driven business with lots of advanced ingredients in their products.

Blemish Treatments

1- Paula's Choice 10% Azelaic Acid Booster This is my favourite blemish treatment because it targets dark spots and pigmentation caused by acne. As a teenager I would get all my spots on the apples of my cheeks and over time they left scars. This product along with lots of hydration and wearing SPF every single day, has really helped to fade the scars.

2- The Body Shop Tea Tree Hydrator This is a great gel cream for those days when your skin is red and angry and just needs something to cool it down. It's actually a moisturiser but my skin is too dry to use this alone so I like to apply it to my T-zone before my moisturiser to target any redness or blemishes that I have.

3- Superdrug Tea Tree Anti Spot Stick I use this when I have one giant angry spot that I need to treat. You wouldn't use this on a large area just individual spots and it helps to clear them overnight. Very affordable too.

Moisturisers

1- CBD Moisture Cream This is just like my favourite oil but in cream form. It's a lightweight consistency that soaks beautifully into the skin and soothes dehydration and redness. Suitable for morning and evening, this would suit all skin types particularly those with stressed out skin.

2- Oils of Life Sleeping Cream A luxurious night cream that smells like you're in a spa. I love applying this at night before I go to bed I find it so therapeutic to use. It contains hyaluronic acid as well as 3 seed oils and 7 essential oils to ensure you wake up with soft, plump skin that feels refreshed.

3- ESPA 24-Hour Replenishing Moisturiser I like to use this cream in the winter as it is very rich. It also has the luxurious spa scent that is so relaxing to use in the evening.

SPF

The most important step of your AM routine.

1- The Body Shop Skin Defence SPF50+ is my favourite of the two as it more moisturising and provides a higher level of UVA and UVB protection.

2- The NIOD Survival 20 is also great, especially for winter days when you don't need as much protection and would be well suited to an oily skin type. There is also no white cast whatsoever with this formula, it is designed for medium to darker skin tones.

Face Mists

1- UTAN x Jamie Genevieve CBD Tanning Water 50% Darker Hands down the best face tan there is. This is so easy to use and great for topping up tan on your hands and chest too. I spritz it every night as the last step in my routine and I wake up with bronzed, glowy, evenly tanned skin.

2- The Body Shop Coco Calming Face Mist A brilliant mist for adding light layers of hydration between serums or for adding moisture throughout the day. Can be sprayed over makeup for an extra moisture boost and smells amazing too.

3- Drops of Youth Bouncy Facial Mist This mist is not as fine as the coco calming due to the jelly texture but it is very plumping and helps to boost the skin's moisture levels in between serums or throughout the day.

Face Masks

1- The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Mask  This is my favourite mask for unclogging pores and drawing out excess sebum and oil from my skin. I especially like to use it on my nose where I can see them as little black dots.

2- The Ordinary Salicylic 2% Acid Masque  This is a great mask for blackheads or uneven skin texture. It helps to exfoliate the skin and remove excess oils that can lead to clogged pores.

3- The Ordinary AHA 30% BHA 2% Peeling Solution This is a chemical exfoliant and shouldn't be used on sensitive skin. That being said, it is brilliant at removing the top layer of dead skin and revealing glowy, smooth skin underneath.

THANK YOU if you got this far - I know this was a long one!
