My Skincare Collection

As most of my friends and family know - I'm a bit of a skincare addict. So, I thought it might be interesting to show you my entire skincare collection. This is after a recent clear out so I can honestly say that I use all of these products interchangeably.  I keep my products in this rotating plastic organiser that my boyfriend bought me for my birthday. Anyone who's into skincare or makeup NEEDS one of these organisers. It is the best thing ever, I love spinning it round each morning as I decide which cleanser to use😂 Click here for a link to one on amazon. Keep reading if you want to see what products I keep in my stash. I have broken them down into categories and listed my favourite 3 products from each category.  Cleansers 1-  The Body Shop Camomile Cleansing Butter  - I haven't found anything that's able to remove my makeup as well as this, plus it lasts for months, you can't go wrong. You simply rub it into your dry skin and watch it melt away all your make...

Back to Uni Skincare Tips

It's that time of year again where everyone is heading back to uni! So, I thought now would be the perfect time to share some skincare tips and tricks that I learnt during my time at uni.

1. First and foremost, make sure to remove your makeup! I prefer to use a cleansing balm or oil and a good old flannel but a micellar water and a cotton pad is good enough! Make sure to cleanse twice if you've been wearing heavy makeup! Realistically, you won't be in the mood to double cleanse when you get home after a night out so a quick once over with a micellar water will do and you can erase the damage in the morning haha!

2. If you use fake tan this product is a game changer! It's the Utan x Jamie Genevieve CBD Tanning Water Facial Mist. They also do it in a 50% darker formula. It helps to top up the tan on your face without causing any breakouts like some fake tans do. It also contains lavender oil and CBD oil so not only does it tan your skin but it calms redness down and minimises breakouts too! I buy mine from Superdrug and it's sometimes on offer for £12 instead of £18!

3. Bring lots of flannels with you! Ideally, you should use a clean flannel everyday so that you're not spreading bacteria around your face. Plus, you want to do as little washing as possible so the more you bring the less times you'll have to wash them because they'll be a fresh one ready for you everyday! You can get really cheap flannels from Asda, Primark and IKEA.

4. A good face mask or spot treatment. This turmeric face mask from Superdrug is so affordable and a good quick fix if you've slept in your makeup or you're having a bad spell of breakouts. Another one to try is The Ordinary Salicylic 2% Masque! Face masks like these are great for cleansing deeper into the skin and removing and any dirt stuck in your pores that could lead to future breakouts. As far as spot treatments go, I would recommend The Ordinary Azelaic Acid. Apply before your moisturiser on any redness or spots and it should help to calm them down!

5. SPF. Make sure you have an SPF to apply as your last step in the morning! The Body Shop do a great one that's not too expensive! The Inkey List also offer an affordable SPF as well! It's so important that we protect our skin from the sun, especially if you're spot prone as the sun will cause your spots to leave a red scar behind.

I hope these tips were useful for you! Uni life can be stressful but it's also the most fun you'll ever have so enjoy it!

Thank you for reading!
